I have been on a bit of a blogging hiatus lately. Had a much needed and fantastic vacation, full of friends, family, and even a little bit of photography. My midwest travels brought with it some couples’ photography sessions, a family, a wedding, and even some equine photography! So, maybe there was more than a little photography 😉
I can’t wait to show you all of the new work. It will be popping up here on the blog in the next few weeks!
But before all that, here is Amanda’s session! Amanda and I decided to go all nautical and shoot on a boat. One of the many perks of living in Florida 🙂 Amanda did such an amazing job. Cool, comfortable, and a total natural. Check out some of the images from our session…
** Little note for my photog friends, I rented the 35mmL lens for the session, and L-OVED it! The colors are just gorgeous. It was a bit of an adjustment from my trusty 50mm, but it was freakin’ awesome. Definitely at the top of my to-buy list! **
I also brought along my new favorite toy, the Yashica D film camera. We shot just a little bit of color film, and this is my favorite image from the set, an accidental double exposure. What a perfect mistake! I just love it. This is straight from the camera, no editing, al naturale.
P.S. Visit and join the facebook fan page to see more photos from Amanda’s session! You can also leave comments for Amanda here below 🙂

LOVE the drama that the hat and earrings add to the otherwise peaceful setting. And the accidental double exposure is exquisite.
Omg, stunning!! So freaking stunning!!! You have a gift, my friend! 🙂
Such sweet comments! Thank you so much 🙂 I think I could shoot on that boat at sunset every day of my life and be a happy photographer!
